MicroGuard
® clear, inorganic, siloxane products have been designed as surface protection treatments for non-ferrous metal tanks & equipment; painted beams & support structures; HVAC/R equipment; concrete, ceramic tile, or terrazzo flooring; barrel tile or shingle roofs; stainless steel and/or most non-ferrous metal parts and oxidized pre-finished metal siding or roofs. Within the broad framework of Industrial & Facilities Maintenance, Adsil concentrates its resources on solving particular exposure demands. Under the MicroGuard® label, several formula platform variations were optimized in order to provide solutions for both common and uncommon exposures. Several examples of these solutions include mold & mildew mitigating properties; clear gloss finishes that actually reduce the slip co-efficient of friction of certain horizontal surfaces; micron thin film applications that covalently bond to non-ferrous metals and demonstrate unparalleled corrosion protection; extremely tight, cross-link cured film formations that positively seal concrete from vapor transmission; non-yellowing clear film deposits that can tolerate high-heat conditions and remain transparent; cured films that are so durable that they resist the debilitating effects of industrial exposures to many acid or base materials, aromatic & aliphatic solvents, motor oil, transmission & brake fluids, gasoline, water and are highly resistant to abrasion or ablation exposures.

During the early foundational evolution of Adsil, the company recognized a specific marketing niche where its inorganic, siloxane formulae are particularly well suited and where present coating choices have proven either ineffectual or marginal, in performance. That niche being HVAC/R coils, fins, fans, blowers and in some cases, even the cabinets. Adsil discovered that corrosion is the leading cause of the degrading efficiency and ultimate failure of heating, ventilating and cooling equipment. Further, once an HVAC/R unit begins to degrade, due to corrosion, its operating efficiency is reduced. In other words, it takes more energy to maintain the same degree of heating or cooling. Depending on the environment, an HVAC/R unit can lose up to 20% of its cooling capacity within the first 6 to 18 months of operation. When properly cleaned and treated with MicroGuard® HVAC/R Clear Protective Treatments, an HVAC/R unit’s efficiency can be maintained. Field units can be coated and restored to a considerably more efficient condition. Due to reduced energy consumption alone, Adsil’s protective treatment can pay for itself.
